Global Superstar Jahna Sebastian releases her Explosive New Single ‘Calling’

Global Superstar Jahna Sebastian releases ‘Calling’, the second single off her critically acclaimed album Legends On The Map.  The London based singer/songwriter/ producer and engineer released the album this past spring. The album featured her first single ‘Looking for Love’ which was a smash hit. Legends On the Map was written, recorded, produced, performed and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at Multivizion Music. It’s a one woman project like her first album The Alchemist.  Ms. Sebastian stated when talking about the new album, “It continues the story as I unfold my vision for the world to bring people together through music. It’s a conceptual album and every song is like a point in the map in a tale. It means that it’s time for people to co create our history together and realize the potential and the legends are happening in real life as we speak.”‘

‘Calling’ was written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed, mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. When asked about her new single, Ms. Sebastian stated,  “The song has that light summer feel, like a soundtrack when you set on a journey. It is about finding your own calling, following your dream and realizing that now is that time to go for it, expand your potential, live the dream with a love of freedom. Sometimes it’s too easy to lose one self in stereotypes, but there is a way to have the courage to step up against any fake scenarios or versions of who you are that were a mere attempt by someone else to fit you into. It’s time to create a personal path. I wrote this song as it’s that time to live the truth. It’s love that you can feel inside, it’s that passion for the knowledge, it’s that beautiful idea that had to come to reality. Whatever it is, every moment is a part of a bigger story and when your heart is calling, the universe will answer. Every song on my album is like a place on the map, familiar to many in a personal way, ‘Calling’ is like that time you are ready at the station with new exciting horizons in sight. Speaking of the horizons and the hope for peace in this world. ”

Ms. Sebastian recently did a photo shoot with photographer Rob Wilson for Croydon Peace Festival exhibition at the Croydon Town Hall.  She wore a silver dress by Luv Look UK during the shoot. One of the pictures features her holding a dove in her hand as the symbol of world peace. It shows the different sides of Croydon while showcasing a peaceful mindset you can have while in the busy city. Its quite symbolic of our time. The photographs taken were works of art. The photographs showed how diverse the city is and showcased people in such an intimate and intricate way.

Ms. Sebastian stated, “In the world where so much is currently going on, this exhibition is very much on point at the right time as one of the ways for us to come together as humanity is to celebrate peace and love reminding ourselves what it’s like to find peace within yourself. It is also showing how we can build a better community. People were using #whatdoespeacelookliketoyou to contribute to the movement. ”

SKY TV channel London Live TV did a special feature about the exhibition with an interview with photographer Rob Wilson and Ms. Sebastian. During her interview Ms. Sebastian stated, ‘Croydon is a very multi cultural place, it constantly inspires me. There is a dove in my hand, and that is the ultimate symbol of peace. So you can see that you can have that feeling walking through the city, while having a bit of nature, while having these questions and answers, but at the same time looking at the dove and having that feeling, because it comes from inside. It’s in our hands, everyday people can make that change, we can create it, embrace every single moment, and it can all start from Croydon. Croydon is the place to be.’

Ms. Sebastian also did an instagram live video with the photographer where they spoke about peace, art and many ways that culture could help promote these ideas. She wore a long black gown by Luv Look UK, earrings and black bag by designer Johnny Loves Rosie.

Ms. Sebastian was booked and busy, she also found the time to collaborate with luxury fragrance brand Miller Harris and film a special episode about her conversation with fragrance expert Nick Gilbert. The conversation took place at an event the London shop was holding. The shop is inspired by the poets and featured art installations showcasing different fragrance with accompanying poetic pieces and sounds. They discussed the inspiration from the use of perfume in the ancient times and how it can be incorporated in the artful way into modern day life.

International Artist Jahna Sebastian Releases Electrifying Visuals for New Single 'Midnight Dancer'

Multi-talented recording artist, visionary and music producer Jahna Sebastian releases the visuals for her new single 'Midnight Dancer'. Midnight Dancer is off her critically acclaimed album, The Alchemist. The album is now available on iTunes, Tidal and all digital stores. The project was a one woman project, everything created was done by Ms. Sebastian. The album features beats that you can dance to in the club and at festivals while listening to a powerful message at the same time. The video for 'Midnight Dancer' was filmed, directed and edited by Alex Riley. 'Midnight Dancer' was written, recorded, produced, arranged and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. The video treatment and concept was written by Ms. Sebastian. The electrifying music video is set in post apocalyptic 2045, the timeline that many western futurologists like to set as the date for complete technological singularity, which is literally the black hole of progress for humanity, beyond which humanity can lose control over the course of history as the AI can become more powerful than humans. Ms. Sebastian stated, "I am showing that there is another way. In fact in the video, I am one of the free people, while the guy represents a person, who's stuck in the room, dying, his body is weak, his mind is cluttered, he can barely breathe, the contrast shows the difference being true understanding of yourself as a human and putting trust into the system of machines. We as humanity are at crossroads of history and right now it is more important than ever to understand, that humans should focus on self-development, rather than running a race in developing an artificial intelligence that will have no personal need for humanity at all. To be the change you want to see in the world and society, you have to look within. I strongly believe that humans can change within and we can achieve a better worldwide society if the focus is on developing human mind and understanding the power of it, let's set the priorities straight. " When asked what was the concept of the video, Ms. Sebastian states, "The video is focusing on bringing forth the idea of immortality of the soul vs a promise to attain illusionary immortality by uploading a copy of human consciousness to global AI server. It raises the question of what is true immortality vs illusionary promised immortality under delusions of trust into the power of machines and shows the danger of putting all faith into the man made super powerful AI, while not even understanding the consequences. Developing machines, rather than human mind, creating false virtual reality instead of understanding the purpose of humans being on Earth. It's a dead end for any human which is symbolized by the skull in the box in the video, while at the end the sight of heaven shows the alternative as transcending into eternal life, going on a higher level, not being 'stuck in the box', showing there is another way and also symbolizes possibility of a human soul to go to the source of light, the next step. However, if quiet literally stuck in a box in the material world with a version of the self completely uploaded to a machine, it loses the connection and possibility to continue, while becoming a sacrifice surrendering to be controlled by global computer system. Many people are ready to do this voluntarily, but before going to the point of no return, why not raise the question first to understand it? The answers are right there, if you look deep within. To be continued ... " The video's strength lies in the cinematography, concept, and wardrobe. The video captures the essence and vibe of 'Midnight Dancer' perfectly. Ms. Sebastian did an amazing job with the treatment and the song truly comes alive. Ms. Sebastian's styling gave a futuristic look with the metal jewelry by Biblos Glasgow. The catchy lyrics is sure to become an anthem, Ms.Sebastian's powerful chorus made the song a hit. She sang: You can come with me if you want to, if you feel it, more than words do. Den Bro NEW mixtape out now!

Den Bro is a Russian rapper based in London, who was a part of rap group Tribe together with Markul and Chiff. He was one of the first artists to record at Multivizion Music from back in 2007. His new mixtape is out now recorded at Skyline studio and two tracks from the mixtape have been recorded and mixed by Jahna Sebastian at Multivizion Music in Croydon,
one of them has been previously released with a music video:

Den Bro has also recorded first collaboration track with rapper Oxxxymiron at Multivizion Music studio in spring 2008. Around that time the Russian Hip Hop movement among Russian speaking immigrants started to consolidate in London, artists started to work together, live shows and parties started to happen, Greenpark TV launched in 2011. Multivizion Music has been in the centre of this development with many artists recording in the studio. Rapper Oxxxymiron has since recorded many tracks at Multivizion Music including his album "Vechniy Jid" (2011)
Den Bro, Oxxxymiron, Markul and many others represent Russian Hip Hop movement in London.

"NASHEELI" Screening at Genesis Cinema

New film "NASHEELI" in which I am playing a girl called Nasheeli who is dealing with situation in her life and at the time literally slightly going mad, has been first screened at Genesis cinema in London on 26th May 2011.
