Poetic Fashion Story The Opulent Queen collection Jahna Sebastian & designer Biblos Glasgow

Singer, songwriter, producer, and model Jahna Sebastian is a woman of many talents. Her passion for creativity and fashion inspired her to collaborate with designer Biblos Glasgow for her new collection ‘The Opulent Queen.’  Ms. Sebastian pioneered a new concept that she titled ‘Poetic Fashion Story’ where
she writes a poem to describe each image of a shoot. This is a new
innovative concept that is a mix of fashion and poetry where a model
brings the photos to life with words. Ms. Sebastian wrote a poem to
express the photos she modeled.  This is a new way of an artist and
designer collaboration that brings a true vision to life. This
innovative shoot is the first of its kind and Ms. Sebastian is once
again ahead of the curve in this iconic, brilliantly shot photoshoot.
Ms. Sebastian stated that the collection truly connected with her. The
shoot was shot by celebrity photographer Amit Bansal. Journalist Serena Hussain conducted a special interview with Deborah Glasgow about her work as a designer and the collection during the shoot.

The shoot goes along with her upcoming album ‘The Alchemist’, she
wrote a song that was inspired by the photo shoot. The theme of
transformation for the ‘The Opulent Queen’ is following the theme of her
album ‘The Alchemist’.

When asked what was her inspiration for the shoot and how it all
came together Ms. Sebastian stated,  “As a creative I am introducing a
brand new revolutionary way of collaborating with designers. It’s a
Poetic Photo Story. This is a completely new concept I came up with by
being inspired by visuals as an artist. I am a visionary and this is how
my brain operates. Deborah Glasgow wanted to do a story through
pictures, a story of transformation from a woman who lost herself and
found her inner Queen. I hope that many women can relate to the story
and the self discovery that the metaphorical Opulent Queen in the poem
does. I wrote it down in a poetic way to describe each picture. This is
Jahna Sebastian’s Lyrical Fashion. This photo shoot is meant to inspire,
empower and uplift women around the world to show to discover the
strength in all of us, the Queen in every woman. Through collaboration
with designers, I as an artist create fashion with meaning. A picture
speaks a thousand words, but I also add words to multiply the impact of
the picture.”

There are thirteen pictures and thirteen verses that go along with

Lost in the shadows of broken promises

Slowly breathing, no cure, no medicine

Ten years of hiding, ten years of pain

London based singer/songwriter and producer Jahna Sebastian releases
the cover art of her much anticipated new album ‘The Alchemist’ which
will be released at the end of the summer. The album features her
critically acclaimed singles ‘Aftermath,’ ‘Fearless

When asked about how the cover art came to be, Ms. Sebastian stated, ‘The cover is the portrait that was drawn by artist Ainur Timergaliev.
It represents the power of one. The power of the artist who listens to
the beat of the universe and how creativity shapes our lives. The power
of the mind, the focus of the cover is me as a musician, producer,
singer and engineer and creative visionary seeing my path. It represents
all the independent creatives forging their own identity today. It is
about connecting and staying connected. It is about conversation with
each other and the beauty of bringing different elements together. I
produced and wrote the entire album myself. It is a conceptual work’.

Ms. Sebastian is currently working with Ainur on an upcoming
exhibition which will feature their works in art and music respectively
and is the ultimate continuation of the album’s concept.

International Pop Singer Jahna Sebastian Headlines the UK Hip Hop Dance Championships

International Pop Singer Jahna Sebastian headlined the UK Hip Hop Dance Championships,
at Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth on April 19th. Ms. Sebastian
performed her set right before the winners were announced. She performed
her smash hits 'One Day' and 'Poison' off her EP "The Edge of Love" as well as her upcoming new single 'Us', and the crowd favorite 'One and a Million'. World renown Choreographer Matthew Harding was one of the judges on the panel.

Many
talented dance crews from around the UK were competing and the winner
will go on to San Diego, CA on August 3-9 to represent the UK and
compete in the 2015 Hip Hop International World Hip Hop Dance Championship and World Battles which includes the following dance styles: Bboy, popping, locking as well as free style.

When
asked about her performance Ms. Sebastian stated, 'It was a fantastic
opportunity, I loved performing at the event and really enjoyed watching
all the dancers. I got really inspired seeing so much talent and
determination. I was very impressed by children who took part in the
competition. It's an honor to be a part of this experience, street dance
plays a big part in global culture. This is a movement that unites
people around the world to the beat of the music. It was great meeting
some amazing people at the event. The UK comes on strong and I am
looking forward to the 2015 World Dance Championship in San Diego.'

The multi-talented Jahna Sebastian collaborates with The Lost Enemy
(which consists of three emcees/rapper Snowman, Denero and Boogie)  to
release a brand new music video titled "One And A Million", directed and
edited by Kevin Hudson. With its catchy hook and powerful beat, the
beautiful singer/songwriter, produced, arranged, recorded and mixed the
track in her studio Multivizion Music. She also wrote the chorus for the
future hit. Ms. Sebastian met the East London based hip hop trio while
they were performing at the same venue and they quickly felt a positive
vibe, working together was only natural.

With the sultry singers
strong vocals and The Lost Enemy’s urban flavor and lyrical content,
this inspirational song is already buzzing in the streets of London and
has the potential to become a bona fide smash. The track will appear on
Ms. Sebastian's and The Lost Enemy's upcoming projects respectively. Ms.
Sebastian and The Lost Enemy are a part of the Lock Stock and Two
Smoking Sounds crew.

The songstress stated when asked about what
is "One And A Million" about and what led her to write it, "One And A
Million is about personal motivation, the power of being able to make a
big change and raise from nothing to something if you believe in
yourself. The courage to break free from limitations and living to the
fullest. I had a few times when I had to start over from scratch and in
order to make it, instead of dwelling on that one way to lose, I chose
to focus on finding all the ways to win. If one door is closed, many
more are open. It is about the choices we make."

Multi-talented recording artist and music producer Jahna Sebastian releases the visuals from her smash hit 'I Wish'. 'I Wish ' is the second video released off her critically acclaimed  album, 'The Alchemist'. The album is now available on iTunes, Tidal and all digital stores. The project was a one woman project, everything created was done by Ms. Sebastian. The album features beats that you can dance to in the club and at festivals while listening to a powerful message at the same time.  The video for 'I Wish was filmed, directed and edited by Alex Riley. 'Wish  was written, recorded, produced, arranged and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. When asked what 'I Wish ' is about Ms. Sebastian stated, " 'I Wish' is about reaching out to someone with desire to let them know about true love. There is so much focus in the world on material things and possessions that sometimes it it gets hard for people to notice real love when it's right in front of them. In a place where love of things replaces love of humans there needs to be an extra effort to make a wish and get through to break the ice in the heart. It's about love on both sides but one of them just hesitates to open up and the song is about the deep wish of the heart that lifts the restrictions and shows light. It's a song about hope and fulfillment because that's what is real and true.The song is about the importance of it in human experience, whether it's for another person of self love. Some people can find themselves even closed off from loving themselves. Real love will always find a way. "

Ms. Sebastian looked stunning in a dress by Valdenize Soaresaccessorized with a Biblos Glasgow headpiece.  The video was filmed at Matthew's Yard in Croydon, which is well known for its arts and creative hub in the heart of Croydon. Ms. Sebastian chose Matthew's Yard as a space to film her music videos as it is a very inspiring creative space for artists and is an essential part of the London community.

Ms. Sebastian is a innovative visionary, she recently launchedAlchemist TV, an international platform that is changing culture worldwide. It brings music, art, fashion, philosophy and other forms of art together. The purpose is to change culture to unite people from all around the world and bring forward the true purpose of what Art can have in our times with a feminine touch.

When asked what 'Queen of Arts' is about Ms. Sebastian stated, "Queen of Arts represents transformation of a woman who thought she lost herself and her path, then she finally realized her inner power and strength. She is transforming herself into what she actually was born to be through knowledge that was actually always hidden inside. It represent the power of the human mind to open the creativity and tap into universal knowledge. The ancient style book in the video is actually the original sketch book of designer Biblos Glasgow. Music video was filmed at Deborah's studio and she provided all the jewelry."

Ms. Sebastian went on to state, "Queen of Arts is further elaborating on the story that Deborah Glasgow wanted to tell through 'The Opulent Queen' collection photo shoot. At the same time it is also a personal topic when I was finding myself while working on my album 'The Alchemist' alone in the studio, challenging myself if I could complete a large frame of work within a short period of time that usually requires a whole machine and a hundred people to complete. I made the beat and the full song came along when I was going through personal change."

The 'Queen of Arts' record and music video is a look at Ms. Sebastian's personal journey with reclaiming who she is while she worked on her album 'The Alchemist' during the summer of 2017.  Ms. Sebastian stated, "Working with Deborah as a brand ambassador on her 'Opulent Queen' collection photo shoot also helped me re live the self realization through this creative process with her. It's a true moment where the boundaries between art and life really merge and that's what truly represents 'Queen of Arts' as the ultimate person who knows the art of living. I have spoken about my vision about the art of living many times and bringing forward including in my interview with Ashanti Omkar on BBC in 2016.'

Ms. Sebastian is a story teller and this is a unique concept where the story of 'The Opulent Queen' was told through a poetic fashion story, which is a revolutionary concept in which she wrote a poem of 13 verses to describe each picture in the photo shoot with Biblos Glasgow.

Ms. Sebastian has been working with various artist such as Stela Kazarian, grime artist Mufasah, percussionist Tilly, artist Ainur Timergaliev who are all part of her universal movement that she has created with Multivizion Music to change culture all around the world.

Ms. Sebastian who has been a frequent contributor to Venus TV, recently appeared on the popular show Sky 805. She was interviewed and also performed five songs from her album 'The Alchemist' : 'Fearless', 'When Love Shows Light', 'Higher', 'Midnight Dancer' and 'Leader'.  She wore a Biblos Glasgow cape and headpiece for the performance.

During the interview she discussed her new album which they were really impressed with. She also spoke about her being a woman and artist from the East bringing true knowledge to the West, building a better world, inspiring people and bringing them together. They also asked her about her huge fan base in New York.
